Myrrh Resin

  • Premium Quality Myrrh Resin
  • Botanical Name: Commiphora Myrrha
  • GRADE A / No Fillers.
  • Myrrh is a sap-like substance (resin) that comes out of cuts in the bark of certain trees.
  • Myrrh is used for problems in the stomach and intestines, congestion, parasite infections, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
  • In foods and beverages, myrrh is used as a flavoring component.
  • In manufacturing, myrrh is used as a fragrance, in incense, and as a fixative in cosmetics. It is also used in embalming.

Myrrh Resin is a natural incense from the Mediterranean and Arabian peninsula that is harvested from tree sap that is hardened into reddish brown pieces called resin. It is a natural source of fragrance when burned. Historically it has been used for meditation and embalming due to its preservative qualities, as well as a flavoring in drinks.

Directions for use (Not meant for consumption):

Place a piece(s) of the resin in the divot of a pre-lit charcoal disc. The resin should start melting and release a calming, earthy and slightly woodsy aroma. A little goes a long way and the fragrance may fill the room for many hours.

It may also be melted down to combine with other oils in order to make a custom perfume oil.

As with other resins, myrrh may also be used in the creation of varnishes and other paint mediums.

Check out our other resins such as, Frankincense, Myrrh, Dragon's Blood and Charcoal Discs in 33mm and 40mm sizes made specifically for burning these resins.
