Captain's Choice Shaving Scuttle
Presented in our popular Gunmetal finish, the Captain’s Choice Shaving Scuttle is a terrific way to upgrade your shaving experience.
The bottom chamber is designed to hold sixteen ounces of the hottest water you can put inside, ensuring that the rich lather generated in the bowl above remains warm throughout your entire shave. This design has a wide base for stability and exterior ridges to ensure a secure grip. Interior grooves expedite the lathering process and the steep sides keep the lather contained. There is also a convenient thumb rest for a secure grip as seen in the fifth picture.
Created by a local potter to our specifications, each scuttle begins as two lumps of clay. They are thrown separately on a potter's wheel and afterwards melded together into one piece. The beauty of this handmade item is that each one will differ slightly. The natural differences in the glaze along with the individual craftsmanship of each scuttle means that no two will be exactly the same.* It measures approximately 5†wide and 4†tall with an interior depth of 2†for creating your lather.
