SATURNIA is inspired by one of my favorite places on earth. A spa town in the southwest of Tuscany that has been inhabited since ancient times. A legend, according to the Etruscans and Romans, was that the Terme di Saturia (thermal springs) was formed by lightning struck by Jupiter. During a violent dispute between the two mythological deities, the bolts thrown towards Saturn had failed, creating the formations known as modern Saturnia.

The sulfur-containing spring water with a constant temperature of 37.5 ° C is known for its therapeutic properties and offers relaxation and well-being through immersion. The main thermal waterfalls are the Mill Falls, located in an old mill, and the Gorello waterfalls.

The yield of the source is approx. 800 liters per second, which guarantees optimal water exchange. The chemical composition is sulfur, carbon, sulfate, bicarbonate alkali, earth, in the presence of hydrogen sulfide gas and carbon dioxide. The minerals dissolved in water are 2.79 grams per liter.

We used Tuscan herbs that are common in the Saturnia area to inspire the scent after shaving. The distinguishing factor between the splash and the shaving soap is that the splash does NOT contain any sulfur minerals.
